Awaken O Soul and Seek the Light of God
This evening, crowds flocked to the 25-acre grounds of Manav Kendra in Dehradun, India, to be in the presence of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj. The center was established 53 years ago by Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj. In tonight’s discourse, the spiritual Master emphasized that we each have the faculties needed to realize God. Now is the time to awaken from our slumber and make the best use of this opportunity.
The human condition is such that rather than experiencing the inner Light of God, we live in darkness while focused on the fleeting outer world. Our soul was meant to rule over our mind and senses, but instead, our physical senses dictate the actions of the mind. In turn, the mind waylays the soul, keeping it focused on the distractions of this world and preoccupied with the pursuit of worldly gain.
Living at the level of the senses, we seek to experience God through the outer eyes and ears. However, God is experienced through the inner eye, the gateway to the spiritual regions.
Only love and Light pave the way to our Eternal Home, said Sant Rajinder Singh Ji. Meditation allows us to focus our attention within so we can connect with the Light and higher consciousness. We then awaken to our true nature as soul and the reality of this human existence.
