Springtime Routine for the Soul

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj

The warmer weather of springtime brings more focus on being outdoors, exercising, and improving our physical health. While spending time in exercise routines such as preparing for marathons, jogging, and sports, it is also a good time to have an exercise routine for our soul. Meditation is a simple routine we can do daily to develop our inner side.

Meditation develops our spiritual health, which, in turn, can improve the health of our body and mind.

As we layout our exercise routines with aerobics, cardiovascular exercises, lifting weights, interval training, and weight-bearing exercises, charting out how many minutes we spend in each daily, it can benefit us to also set aside time daily for meditation to benefit our body, mind, and soul. We will find that we not only become physically fit, but spiritually fit.

Spiritual fitness through meditation helps us deal with life in a calm, peaceful manner. It reduces stress so we can avoid stress-related ailments. Yet, it also opens us up to the wonders of spiritual Light, celestial Music, uplifting divine love, peace, and joy within. Through daily meditation we can enjoy the fresh air of spring and our exercises outdoors and the energizing air of the spiritual springtime within us.
