Be the Change. Be the Light.
Today, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj remembered Mahatma Gandhi Ji, whose 151st birth anniversary was celebrated around the world on October 2nd, 2020. Gandhi showed us, he said, how any difficulty could be resolved through peaceful means; this was demonstrated by the way in which he led India to independence through non-violence.
When we look at our lives, we see that they are filled with moments of peace and joy, and moments of strife and challenge. No matter the circumstances, it is important that we go through life with ease—calmly, and peacefully. When we live in turmoil, we create more difficulties for ourselves, he said. In the face of all ups and downs, we need to remember to lead our lives such that we are progressing toward life’s supreme goal, and this happens when we are calm and peaceful.
Saints and spiritual Masters come to remind us of our life’s supreme goal: to recognize our true nature as soul and to realize our soul’s union with its Source, which is God. To fulfill this purpose, they teach us the technique of meditation so that we can embark on the inner spiritual journey. Connecting with the inner Light of God within, we experience the calm, joy, peace, and bliss of the inner worlds, and the darkness of life is dispelled. Our lives become illumined with God’s love. We are transformed into loving, compassionate, nonviolent beings, who seek to be of service to our fellow beings. Through meditation, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji said, we can share our light with the world, and we can become the change we want to see in the world.
